Welcome—
Jared Michael Kubokawa is a PhD student in the Second Language Studies (SLS) program at Michigan State University. He was an assistant professor in the department of humanities at Aichi University where he taught EFL courses in literacy and communication. His research interests include second language and multilingual writing, composition research and pedagogy, communities of practice, multilingual creativity, corpus linguistics and writing teacher education. Jared has traveled abroad extensively as an EFL teacher and teacher mentor as well as presented at national and international conferences in L2 writing, multilingual creativity, and creative writing. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and the American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL).
Jared publishes research in various academic journals and attends conferences worldwide in the fields of second language writing, applied linguistics, and ESL/EFL instruction and research. Please don’t forget to say hello if you see him.

Coached teachers to raise English proficiency, develop teaching resources and assessment techniques.
